The company’s representative office in Ukraine employs more than 100 people, its contribution to Egis Group’s operation is important. 

In these difficult times Egis considers it a priority to ensure the safety of its Ukrainian colleagues and their immediate family members as much as possible: to enable a constant communication a round-the-clock telephone contact has been set up and the company also helps those who intend to come to Hungary. 

Egis is offering its Ukrainian staff and their family members – almost 70 people in total so far - a full board accommodation in its resort in Zamárdi.  The company is also providing health care and mental-psychological support in Ukrainian; child psychologist counselling is available for the more than 20 children and youngsters, while Ukrainian-speaking colleagues from Budapest are assisting with administrative matters. Furthermore, Egis has organized a targeted charity collection at all its production sites to help its Ukrainian employees staying now in Zamárdi according to their personal needs.

On behalf of the company’s employees Csaba Poroszlai, CEO and Dr. Klára András, Director of Human Resources personally delivered the donations to the group of Ukrainian women and children in Zamárdi.  They explained that in addition to the full support of the Company, Egis also helps these arriving colleagues and their family members financially. 

Egis has already started donating medicines from its stocks in Ukraine in order to contribute to the continued supply of medicines in the country. The value of the humanitarian aid made so far exceeds EUR 550 thousand (approx. UAH 17,4 million).
